More and more companies need to establish technologies and change systems quickly to manage work and thus meet market competitiveness objectives. Good times are coming for “As a Service” business models and many organizations are counting on them for their day-to-day operations. Within these models, we find XaaS or Everything as a Service (everything as a service) , which we are going to talk about in this article.

New technologies have come a long way and have changed the way we communicate, how we access information and, above all, the way we work. Of all the technological advances, cloud computing is undoubtedly the one that has most affected companies when it comes to developing their work.

Nowadays, customers or users are looking for products and services that are perfect for what they need, therefore, the traditional mass production model is no longer efficient. This makes today’s business models and the way of selling change completely.

In order to cope with these changes, and to offer the most suitable product for each individualIn order to process large amounts of data, powerful and reliable systems are needed. with the aim of satisfying the demanding demands of users who are increasingly demanding more due to the high supply and competition in the market.

What are the benefits of the XaaS model for the company?

Cloud computing has been adapting to current requirements to reach the “as a service” models we know. In addition to SaaS, IaaS or PaaS, we also find the XaaS model (Everything as a service) where the X corresponds to a variable that is used to say that it encompasses, in a total or partial way, solutions hosted in the cloud, as a customized model.

When we talk about XaaS, we must highlight a series of benefits for companies to decide to take the leap and invest in it. These advantages to know are the following:

  • As it does not require an investment in its own structure, costs are lower.
  • It is a model that provides greater flexibility, making it easier and faster to scale up.
  • Maintenance is performed by the service provider, so the company is relieved of having the resources needed to maintain the system. As a result, efforts at work are focused on innovating and following the direction of the business without deviating from the objectives.
  • New business products or services are brought to market faster and more efficiently.
  • This model makes it possible to respond quickly to market developments. Through XaaS, companies have resources, data and other services available at all times, enabling them to respond almost immediately to changes in the industry.

At the same time, this model gives companies the flexibility they need to obtain all the possible advantages that new technologies offer them. In addition, the pay-per-use model makes it more scalable when it comes to adapting to changes in personnel or operational development.

The XaaS revolution in enterprises

The XaaS model proposes to extend the advantages of cloud computing within companies to any area or process, from human resources to security. Organizations work in a more agile way, shorten their improvement cycles and move quickly towards digital transformation, so they are prepared for future trends in their industry. Companies must be prepared to offer their services in the best possible way in a market that is moving towards the cloud.

This model is already revolutionizing the business world and will be a technological trend that more and more companies will implement by 2020. XaaS provides a multitude of opportunities, but it is only the beginning of a tool with great potential that allows almost unlimited customization of the current more static “as a service” models on the market.
