Aware of the importance of information in the field of transportation, Repsol has taken the step and added geolocation and real-time tracking of its goods through a mobile app with the help of FIELDEAS and its Track and Trace solution.

Thanks to Track and Trace, Repsol can integrate shared indicators for the business and its operations. In this way, the information flows through a single system that has a great capacity for integration. This service has been launched on Repsol’s Química Online portal, where customers can track their orders online.

Information is key in freight transportation

The operation of this service is really simple, and with a mobile application anyone can check the status of their order, where it is at all times and what the approximate delivery time will be.

This is a pioneering service in the polyolefins industry in Europe for all customers buying liquids in bulk. The service will soon be extended to Repsol’s deliveries of palletized chemical goods.

Thanks to Track and Trace, it is possible to obtain data on the route of the goods, the load, the routes, the milestones and the arrival at the destination. And it also provides information about the entry and the loading and unloading that has taken place. By obtaining all this information, black boxes or black spots are eliminated where it is not possible to have a complete view of the status of the goods in transit through the supply chain.

At the same time, other challenges have been overcome, such as integrating all the information from these clients’ reports into a single platform where everything can be seen and which is simple and intuitive to use.
